When you update to iOS 11, you may notice that some of your favorite apps no longer work. This is because app developers may not have updated their app from 32 bit to 64 bit, which is the new iOS 11 requirement.
When using any device, wearing a set of ear buds or headphones helps the pianist have proper amplification. Depending on your home setup, experimenting with one ear in and one ear out may work best so you can hear both the piano and the metronome.
- BeatSpeak. The talking metronome. This app speaks the beats for you.
- iRhythmic. Adjustable tick, accents, meter, and BPM.
- JoyTunes Metronome. A beautiful, simple metronome that allows you to change the tempo and time signature as well as match the BPM of your choosing by tapping the beat. This metronome also displays the tempo marking such as Allegro, Andante, etc. Works with Apple Watch, too.
